Over more than six decades, the achievements of J.S. Hovnanian & Sons have gained recognition through many honors and awards presentations. The homes, communities and marketing efforts of the company have been consistently among the top award recipients of the local and state building associations' Sales and Marketing Awards Programs. While there are too many citations to list here, several stand out in the company's long and proud history.

Building Quality for Generations
Extreme Makeover
In 2007 J.S. Hovnanian Sons was the first South Jersey builder selected by the nationally acclaimed TV show to build a brand new home for The Marreros, a deserving father and his five sons in Pennsauken, NJ .
This was a heartwarming and extremely challenging project that was built around the clock in 96 hours with the tireless determination and outstanding leadership of the entire JSH TEAM along with thousands of volunteers and the kind generosity of numerous , contractors, manufacturers , suppliers and local merchants.
This would be a lasting and final act of kindness from a wonderful humanitarian our founder and father Jirair S. Hovnanian.
Major Achievements in Marketing Excellence Awards (Mame)
As part of the annual MAME awards hosted by the Builders League of South Jersey (BLSJ), J.S. Hovnanian & Sons has been honored with numerous distinctions over the years for its homes, communities, and marketing materials. The Carriage Homes at Rancocas Pointe preluded its "Community of the Year" SAM Award from the NJBA with a "Community of the Year" MAME Award only months prior, making it the first J.S. Hovnanian & Sons community to hold both distinctions in the same year! Most recently Montebello, Stirling Glen and The Greens have received multiple MAME AWARDS with those communities being awarded the most coveted "Community of the Year!"

Ranked Highest in New Home Quality for New Home Builders in the Philadelphia Area" by J.D. Power and Associates. J.S. Hovnanian & Sons was the first recipient of this award in the Philadelphia Market Area.
Platinum Builder Award
2-10 Home Buyers Warranty Platinum Builder Award® is the highest recognition of initial quality and superior service available to builders nationwide. J.S. Hovnanian & Sons is one of 3 builders to hold both the Diamond and Platinum awards from 2-10 Home Buyers Warranty, and the only builder in the Northeastern United States.
Most Recently J.S. Hovnanian & Sons has been awarded the Select Builder Award 7 times in the past 8 years.
Diamond Builder Award
2-10 Home Buyers Warranty Diamond Builder Award® is an honor given to less than one half of one percent of builders nationwide, and is based on superior initial quality, extremely low incidence of warranty claims and exemplary follow-up service.
Njba Community of the Year
Presented by the New Jersey Builders Association (NJBA) at their annual Sales and Marketing (SAM) Awards banquet, nearly every one of our communities in recent years has won Community of the Year honors. Recent communities to achieve this distinction are the Carriage Homes at Rancocas Pointe, Mews at OakRidge, the Townhomes at Rancocas Pointe, and Pelican Place at Riverwinds.
BLSJ Commitment to Excellence Award
Seven times - J.S. Hovnanian & Sons has been honored again with the Commitment to Excellence Award, as part of the annual MAME (Major Achievements in Marketing Excellence) awards program sponsored by the Builders League of South Jersey (BLSJ). The award reflects homeowner survey results of builders throughout South Jersey. We have won 4 consecutive years, 5 of the last 6, and were also Charter recipients of this award.
